Ahhh...Time off

Boy the time is flying by! Before vacation started I planned to get current again in my scrapbooks and to have at least 100 cards made.....o.k. maybe not quite 100....but close! I have played the Wii until my arm is sore, and have totally caught up on all of my missed episodes of icarly and Oswald. LOL! So until today I have been a bum. But I have had more time to spend with my boys and some of their friends....so all is good.

I did get to finsh the Autumn themed wedding album for a friends daughter. I set soo many records it was rediculous!!! Not one jewel....GASP! (breathing into a paper bag)...and I only stuck to one role of ribbon...breathe girls.....and finished it in 48 hours! It actually looks good. I will take pics and post them later. For now I have Birthday themed cards that I got done. The album and cards were on my To Do list and now I can check them off!

I have just started as a Stampin' Up! Demo and just got my first order and with free shipping. So I am going to start posting a ton of projects where I have a chance to use my new stuff. YEAH FOR ME! YEAH FOR ME!

Here is Partygirl Bella from Stamping Bella. I used some Birthday paper that I picked up at JoAnns and then used the Cupcake Wheel that can be found on my SU! website. The second type of card is all SU! When I make a card I try to use up all of the DP (Design Paper) that I have used and make less leftovers as possible, so I acutally have made 4 so far and will make as many as I can.
I use Kraft 12x12 paper and cut it into 4's. Making 4- 6x6 and then just scored them in half. I used the Happy Birthday Wheel and then embossed it using White EP (Embossing Powder). After trimming closely I matted it in Night of Navy and then matted all of that onto a retired paper of SU!. I used my new SU! Star punch on the design paper and popped it on up with dimensionals or pop dots. SO EASY!! I have highlighted the supplies that can easily be found on my SU! Website. On the inside of the card is from the Full of Life stamp that can also be found on my website. It reads: "May every part of your Birthday have happy in it".

Contact me if you have any questions at all. I am also sending out a special Thank You for everyone that places an order from my SU! Website.

**Contact me today! Stampers Club Starting in January. Get $25 in stampin stuff every month! A kit mailed right to you if you can't make it to the meeting.!**

New Cards for this week

I was able to play a little last Sunday and came up with a couple of cards. I need to get back into the creative groove again.

Below are new stamps that I got from Hobby Lobby. One is a cross (cause I didn't have one and everyone should). And one of 2 double sentiment stamps that I bought. There are a lot of serious illness's in our office. I thought I would start making some cards for that reason. The outside says "Sending you a little prayer.." and the outside says "That God keeps you in his care." I put just a little piece of bling in the middle of the cross.
The next card is Cookie Monster. I LOVE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES!!!! And I bought the whole Sesame Street stamp set from Hobby Lobby almost a year ago and have only made this one card. My original idea was to make a Sesame Street themed book for my boys...it's still on my "TO DO" List. This card colored with regulard color pencils and used Gamsol OMS. I used
3-D Super Thick on the cookie jar. The chocolate chip paper is from JoAnn's.
The next is one of 3 similar cards. I found an awesome Coffee themed paper at my LSS. I was able to cut it up and had enough for 6 cards. Here ar e 3... The first one was made with a sentiment "Thanks a Latte" that was given to me by one of my sistah's. I used Javabella's . The next one is made with Lattebella and the sentiment is from Hobby Lobby. I used eyelets and set them with my Crop-a-dile. Tied a ribbon through the wholes and...voila!!The last one is from one of my sistah's. It was either Christi or Kimberlee. I got my stack messed up when I moved my room. I hate not being able to give proper credit. Sorry girls. I know the stamp is from MFT My Favorite Things. I know that because I have been stalking that company lately. I added some ribbon and flowers and I am very happy about the way this card turned out. I hope everyone is having a great week. I want to give a very excited shout out to my sistah Christi!! Yesterday was her wedding anniversary and this week is also her Stampin' Up! Anniversary. YOU GO GIRL!!! I HOPE YOU HAVE AN AWESOME WEEK!!!

Hugs,

Carrie

Big Time Blog Candy..

I need help bad!!! I am in my final week in my Philosophy of Human Conduct class. I don't want anyone to write the whole thing (but willing if someone wants to email me privately @ clhajnal@yahoo.com) :-) anyways, I just need help with a topic for my final paper. The obvious topics that I have come up with are divorce and abortion, which neither interest me to write about. Please leave me possible topics in the comment section and I will be giving some really good blog candy to the winner. I will be choosing a winner by tomorrow (Sunday 08/17) at midnight. Here are the guidelines for the paper that might help...

Much of the work we will do on moral questions and moral theory in this course may seem very abstract. This is necessary when you are looking for the broadest understanding possible, but it also allows a certain casualness to work its way into the practice. "The Nazis were bad and it's good to be good to others" seems true, but all of this should lead us to put our money where our mouths are at some point. Thus, theory and explanation are the first steps we take as moral thinkers, and then we need to put our studies into practice.

For your final paper, write about a real contemporary problem where you see the status quo as lined up against something that is just or in favor of something that is unjust. Make a case for what you think would be just and argue for measures that should be taken to counteract that injustice. The stronger your measures, the greater your need to justify such measures. You must write in a careful, theoretical way. If you can make this assignment about your own experience or community, then all the better but you must support your arguments. You must use at least 8-10 outside sources in the construction of your argument.

I promise, your name and information will not be in the paper at all. I just need help thinking of a topic. My blog candy will be fabulous. I am not sure what yet, but fabulous. My last blog candy was a gift certificate to stamping bella, just so you know I don't give out poop. I may just ask the winner a couple of questions and decide a couple of choices and let you pick.

I just need HELP!!!

Happy Birthday X's 3

I whipped up 3 birthday cards last night. They were all for the same girl here at work, and I have been nominated the card maker in the office. These cards don't have my usual requirements of bling and ribbon, so they are on the bottom of my happiness scale. Since I have not posted in a few days and I am still getting ready for the yard sale of the century, I fugured it may be a few more days until I am creative again. So here goes... All are a form of bella

I believe her name is Betina Buttercream, I tried to search the bella website but couldn't find her. I got her in the latest image swap on the bellaholic Yahoo group. She is a lot of fun to color.

This is Ella, Looloo and the gang. They are a lot of fun to color also. This stamp just makes me happy.

This is Partygirlabella. She was one of my very first bella's that I bought. I think she is one of my top favorite's for sure.
** I forgot to scan her...she will be posted later***

Lots of love,
Carrie
